Backup codes

Backup codes are unique security codes generated in the Client Portal.

To activate backup codes

  1. Click Enable in the Backup Code section of  Settings →  Authentication Methods page.

  2. Enter your PIN code, and then click Verify.

  3. Print out the list of codes and keep it in a safe place.  Click Finish.
    Important: Leave the last backup code as you may need it in case you want to deactivate or generate more backup codes. 

  4. Backup codes as a 2FA method will be enabled for your account.
    To protect your login and/or withdrawal operations with a backup code, enable ' Login ' and/or ' Withdrawal ' options.

  5. Enter one of the actual backup codes, and then click Verify.
    Once the 'Login' or 'Withdrawal' option is enabled, a user will be requested to enter a backup code while logging in to the Client Portal or confirming a withdrawal transaction.

  6. The enabled option (Login/Withdrawal) will change its status from Off to On.

To deactivate backup codes

  1. Click Disable in the Backup Code section of Settings  → Authentication Methods page.

  2. Enter a previously generated backup code, and then click Verify.

  3. Click Disable.
    The authentication via Backup codes will be disabled.


To generate more backup codes

  1. Click Disable in the Backup Code section of Settings → Authentication Methods page.

  2. Enter a previously generated backup code, and then click Verify.

  3. Click Create more codes.

  4. Click a new list of backup codes will be generated for your account. Please  keep it in a safe place. Click Finish.
